Colors tops Urban Market; Naagin 3 becomes the top rated program : BARC Week 25

Mumbai: As per week 25 ratings released by BARC India Zee Anmol continues to dominate the Hindi GEC market on the whole with 745706 (000s) impressions though there is dip in the impressions against the previous week. Sony Pal follows the leader with 599068 (000s) impressions and Zee TV is placed at the third place with 572708 (000s) impressions.

Taking a look at the ratings of the Hindi GEC urban market in week 25, Colors tops the chart with 385996 (000s) impressions followed by Zee with 350607 (000s) impressions and STAR Plus with 326745 (000s) impressions. With 276834 (000s) impressions STAR Bharat is placed at the fourth place and SONY SAB stands at the fifth place with 274347 (000s) impressions. Sony Entertainment Television occupies the sixth place with 240238 (000s) impressions. Sony Pal, Zee Anmol and STAR Utsav take the 7th, 8th and 9th positions in the top ten Hindi GEC chart in week 25 with 179237(000s) impressions, 175355 (000s) impressions, and 148298 (000s) impressions respectively. Rishtey has managed to occupy the last slot in the top 10 list with 137718 (000s) impressions.

Colors ‘ recent offering Naagin-3 after two successful seasons that made a comeback with its third season on 2nd June 2018 in the channels’  8:00 PM weekend time band, has performed exceptionally well and has played a vital role in the channels’ ratings. The series launched with a opening weekly average of 4.3 TVR with a reach and TS of  7.7 points and 34.2mins respectively.The fantasy fiction series produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms is the top rated program for week 25 and has garnered 9648 (000s) impressions.

Zee TV’s fiction series Kundali Bhagya and Kumkum Bhagya happens to be the second and the third rated programs with 7285 (000s) impressions and 6891(000s) impressions respectively.

Dance Deewane , dance reality show launched on 2nd June on Colors on weekends in its 9:00 PM prime time band, featuring Madhuri Dixit Nene, Shashank Khaitan and Tushar Kalia as its judges, stands at the 4th position with 6254  (000s) impressions. Star Plus’s musical television series Kulfi Kumar Bajewala launched on 19th  March 2018 aired in the weekdays in its 8:30PM time band with 6019 (000s) impressions takes the 5th place in the ratings chart in week 25.

With the channels launching competitive shows regularly the competition between the programs of the channels is most likely to get intense in the coming weeks.
