BARC 43 : Star Plus retains leadership in Urban HSM; Zee Anmol continues to top U+R HSM

BARC Wk 2 : Sony regains top spot in Urban HSM & becomes No. 2 in U+R; Zee Anmol continues to lead Rural

Mumbai : The BARC data for week 43 for the period between Saturday, 20th October 2018 to Friday, 26th October 2018 has unveiled the ratings of the Hindi GEC has seen a shuffle in the rankings while the leaders of the HSM have managed to retain their dominance.  Star Plus has continued to top the Urban HSM while Zee Anmol tops the U+R HSM category.

In the HSM U+R category, Zee Anmol leads the market with 848655 (000s) impressions followed by Star Utsav 743680 (000s) impressions and Star Bharat 739742 (000s) impressions.  Zee TV has climbed to the 4th slot with 695346 (000s) impressions while Star Plus with 670236 (000s) impressions is seen dropping to the 5th place against its 3rd slot in week 42. Colors  589766 (000s) impressions and Sony 570003 (000s) impressions stood at the 6th and 7th places respectively. Sony Pal has stepped down from the 6th slot to the 8th slot this week with 565600 (000s) impressions whereas the new entrant of the week Sony Sab (000s) impressions has pushed away Dangal TV 427464 (000s) impressions to the 10th position only to occupy the 9th position with 429475 (000s) impressions.

Hindi GEC Urban

The HSM Urban category has not witnessed any changes in the ranking against week 43, Star Plus 467328 (000s) impressions retains its dominance though there is a slight drop in its viewership, while Sony 431151 (000s) impressions and Zee TV 427315 (000s) impressions follow the market leader this week. Colors with 406832 (000s) impressions and Star Bharat with 357338 (000s) impressions occupy the 4th and 5th slots while Sony Sab 329133 (000s) impressions and Star Utsav 227038 (000s) impressions stood at the 6th and 7th places respectively. Sony Pal 173808 (000s) impressions , Zee Anmol 161013 (000s) impressions and  &TV 123168 (000s) impressions have managed to retain their ranking of 8th and 9th and 10th positions respectively.

Hindi GEC Rural

The ranking of the Hindi GEC in the HSM Rural category has remained the same this week only for a change in the positions of Zee TV and Big Magic. Zee Anmol 687642 (000s) impressions continues to be the leader of the market followed by Star Utsav 516642 (000s) impressions and Sony Pal 391792  (000s) impressions respectively. Star Bharat 382404 (000s) impressions stood at the 4th slot while Dangal TV 328714 (000s) impressions occupied the 5th slot. Rishtey was ranked 6th this week with 289803 (000s) impressions while Zee TV with 268031(000s) impressions stepped up to the 7th slot with 268031 (000s) impressions pushing away Big Magic to the 8th place with 233089 (000s) impressions. Star Plus and Colors with 202908 (000s) impressions and 182934 (000s) impressions have managed to stay in the 9th and 10th position in week 43.
