BARC Wk 42 : Star Plus continues to top Urban HSM; Zee Anmol regains leadership in U+R HSM

BARC Wk 2 : Sony regains top spot in Urban HSM & becomes No. 2 in U+R; Zee Anmol continues to lead Rural

Mumbai: The BARC data has unveiled the ratings of Hindi GEC for week 42  for the period between Saturday, 13th October 2018 to Friday and 19th October 2018, the HSM has only witnessed a mild rearrangement in the rankings, as most of the rankings of the channels remain constant against week 41. Zee Anmol tops the HSM U+R and rural category while Star Plus has continued to dominate the HSM Urban market.

In the HSM U+R category, Zee Anmol 847399 (000s) impressions has regained its leadership position pushing away Star Utsav 800897 (000s) impressions to the runner up position, Star Plus 702026 (000s) impressions and Star Bharat 692457 (000s) impressions are seen interchanging their places and stood at No. 3 and No.4 positions respectively. The ranking of the other Hindi GEC’s remains unchanged  against week 41 with Zee TV 653759 (000s) impressions and Sony Pal 579069 (000s) impressions in the 5th and 6th slots, Sony 573252 (000s) impressions and Colors 545284 (000s) impressions stand at the No. 7 and No.8 positions respectively, while Dangal TV 459287 (000s) impressions and Rishtey 418833 (000s) impressions remain at the 9th and 10 slots on the top 10 Hindi GEC list.

Hindi GEC Urban

In week 42, Star Plus 489278 (000s) impressions retained its dominance in the category which is followed by Sony 432580 (000s) impressions and Zee TV 389573 (000s) impressions respectively. The HSM urban rankings of the Hindi GEC remain the same against the previous week’s rankings. Colors 378206 (000s) impressions with stood at the 4th slot and Star Bharat 328957(000s) impressions  at the 5th place. Sony Sab 316131 (000s) impressions and Star Utsav 233169 (000s) impressions ranked the 6th and 7th places respectively. Sony Pal 168113 (000s) impressions, Zee Anmol 149077 (000s) impressions and &TV 126947 (000s) impressions have retained the last three slots in the chart.

 

Hindi GEC Rural

Zee Anmol 698322 (000s) impressions has continued its dominance in the HSM rural category, followed by Star Utsav 567728 (000s) impressions, Sony Pal 410956 (000s) impressions and Star Bharat 363500 (000s) impressions. Dangal TV 355655 (000s) impressions and Rishtey 324843 (000s) impressions are seen retaining their rankings  in the 5th and 6th slots. Zee TV 264186 (000s) impressions has dropped to the 8th place with and Big Magic 265900 (000s) impressions has climbed up to the 7th slot in the list. Star Plus 212748 (000s) impressions has moved down to the 9th position and Colors 167078 (000s) impressions is seen settling in the 10th place in the list this week.
