New Zest Outdoor becomes the first OOH agency to announce its green mission of reducing carbon emissions by launching 11675 sq. ft advertisement space for 12000 sqft of solar panels with a life of 20 years in Mumbai open for the brands to advertise and earn carbon credits.
This project will ensure the installation of the largest number of Solar panels, with each solar panel generating approximately 1200000 units. These solar panels will be used as hoardings by the industries wanting to advertise to create clean, renewable energy, which will be used by the India Railways.
Each installation is sheathed to allure all the industries to advertise on such a big scale. Advertising on a nationwide hoarding can be a solid promotional activity for any sector, and this one innovative vision can touch multiple missions all at once.
Zest Outdoor came up with this innovative concept of using advertising as a medium to make India clean and green is appreciated by India Book of Records & Asia Book of Records as “The first billboards to generate solar energy for Western Railways.”
This Green India plan is divided into two phases. Phase 1 includes 17 hoardings to be ready for advertising and generating renewable energy in Western Mumbai until 20th February 2022. Phase 2 of the plan consists of 17 hoardings to be raised by 15th April 2022 in Central Mumbai.
Moreover, this green mission plan is open to all the industries to advertise themselves and earn carbon credits.
“India has been undergoing dreadful climate changes since the past year, which has awfully impacted India’s lives. The need to realize bringing a change struck my mind while having my evening prayer in Masjid. The solar panels used at the Masjid to have free energy sources can also be used for advertising and making India clean and green”, as stated by Akolawala, the Founder of Zest Outdoor.
He further added, “There were many challenges while putting this idea into reality. Many engineers, contractors, and fundraisers were put in place to acquire this big Green India mission. To use the given space innovatively considering all the aspects was the biggest of all. However, the feeling of triumph after getting the permission of the Western Railways is uncommunicative.”
