Leo Burnett Mumbai bags Gold in Cannes Creative Data Lions for ‘Turf Finder’

Leo Burnett Mumbai has been awarded Gold in Cannes Creative Data Lions for its creative work for Gatorade’s ‘Turf Finder’ campaign. This year, only 12 Lions were awarded in the category, with the Grand Prix going to McCann Poland for ‘Room For Everyone.’

Alongside Leo Burnett, the agencies that have won Gold Lion, include AREA 23, AN IPG HEALTH NETWORK COMPANY, New York for ‘Magnetic Stories’ and VML, Buenos Aires for ‘Absurd Promises.’ 

The ‘Turf Finder’ campaign aimed to tackle the shortage of recreational spaces in urban India by identifying available places to play whenever and wherever possible in the city.

Using historical map data, Gatorade identified suitable locations such as vacant parking lots and empty streets, converting them into accessible playing areas for residents in India’s metropolitan cities. The first turf will be launched in Mumbai.
