Brands on board IPL 2023 bandwagon

Garuda Aerospace,Vision 11, Paytm & Paytm Insider, JBL,Cybeart, Rario, Bisleri, MyFab11,Shyam Steel, Usha , Luminous , EatSure, Equitas, Reliance Digital take sponsorship options ahead of upcoming season.

As the 2023 season of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) approaches, brands are joining in on the excitement by sponsoring teams in the league. With its high-octane cricket and massive viewership, the tournament is widely regarded as an ideal platform for brands to showcase their products and services.

Here are some of the notable brands that announced their association with the tournament:

Garuda Aerospace

Garuda Aerospace, an Indian drone startup, has announced a partnership with Chennai Super Kings as the official drone partner for the 2023 season, marking the first ever drone partnership for a team.

Former Indian cricket team captain and Garuda brand ambassador Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also a shareholder in the company.

Vision 11

Vision 11, a fantasy gaming platform, has announced its association with Chennai Super Kings for the 2023 season. The brand will be seen behind the team cap and helmet.

Paytm & Paytm Insider

Paytm and Paytm Insider have partnered with six of the 10 IPL teams including Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants, Punjab Kings, and Delhi Capitals. Match tickets will be available on Insider with a door delivery option besides at offline outlets. Tickets and merchandise will also be available on teams’ websites through API integrations. Contests, marketing partnerships and activations are also on the cards.

JBL:

Harman, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, announced the sponsorship renewal of Delhi Capitals, one of the key teams participating in the T20 Cricket League 2023, through its audio brand JBL. JBL had earlier collaborated with Delhi Capitals in the 2019 season. This year, the company has collaborated with Delhi Capitals as the team’s headgear sponsor and their exclusive audio sponsor. As part of this brand collaboration, the Delhi Capitals team will wear the JBL logo on their helmets throughout the entire duration of the tournament. Additionally, as the exclusive audio partner, JBL has also launched a 360-degree marketing campaign ‘Roar ka Shor’ – an extension of the Delhi Capital’s team anthem Roar Macha. This campaign will be accompanied by an extensive advertising push across traditional, digital as well as social media. JBL has also planned on-ground engagements and activations with the viewers at the Arun Jaitly Stadium in New Delhi, as well as in stores at popular malls across the country.

Rario:

Rario, a digital collectibles platform for cricket, has announced a partnership with the defending champions of the Tata Indian Premier League (IPL), Gujarat Titans. The partnership will offer exclusive digital player cards of the team to fans across the world for a period of three years.

Fans can now collect and trade unique digital cards of star players of Gujarat Titans, including Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan, among others. With these exclusive cards, fans can enjoy a variety of benefits, including building a collection, meeting players, watching matches like a celebrity, and receiving exclusive signed merchandise, among other things.

Cybeart:

Cybeart, a chair brand across Canada, India, and the Middle East, has been announced as the official merchandising partner of Gujarat Titans on a multi-year deal. Through this partnership, Cybeart will now aim to tap the Cricket followers and introduce the high quality, futuristic chairs for the team as well as their worldwide fanbase that provides them with a world-class sitting experience.

Bisleri:

Bisleri, a packaged drinking water brand of India, has partnered with Gujarat Titans as the Official Hydration Partner. It has forged a three-year association, starting with the 2023 cricketing season.

MyFab11:

MyFab11, a sports fantasy platform, recently announced its association with Kolkata Knight Riders as their Principal Sponsor. As a part of this partnership, MyFab11 will be the front-of-jersey sponsor for Kolkata Knight Riders’ official jersey.

Taking this collaboration a step further and making it more rewarding for the fans, MyFab11 has rolled out a pre-tournament campaign by running a contest #TicketToEden. Winners of this contest will stand a chance to win merchandise and tickets to KKR matches.

Shyam Steel:

Shyam Steel, a producer and manufacturer of primary TMT bars, today announced its association with IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants as the principal sponsor of the franchise. The association will help Shyam Steel enhance its brand and business presence across the HSM markets and nationally.

Aligned to the association, the players and official members of the Lucknow Super Giants team will be sporting the Shyam Steel logo on the back of the official match-day jersey. The logo will also be prominently visible during the on-ground matches of the franchise. The brand will have the right to use player images and team logo for internal use and promotional purposes. The duration of the association is three years.

Usha International:

Usha International, a consumer durables brand, announced it will continue its official partnership with five-time champions Mumbai Indians men’s cricket team for the 10th consecutive year.

As part of the association, the ‘USHA’ logo will be prominently visible on the caps and helmets of all Mumbai Indians players. The ‘Usha Play’ branding will be visible on perimeter boards and screens during the match.

Luminous Power Technologies:

Royals Sports Group-owned franchise Rajasthan Royals today announced Luminous Power Technologies as the team’s Title Sponsor for the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League. As part of the association, the power and solar solutions brand’s logo will appear on the front of the Rajasthan Royals’ official playing kit and training kit.

Having previously extended their support to the sport through in-stadium and linear TV partnerships, Luminous is re-entering the IPL space with this partnership with the Royals for the 2023 season.

EatSure:

EatSure, an online food delivery app, announced its association with Royal Challengers Bangalore as the official food delivery partner.

Additionally, EatSure will also be the official sponsor of the famous The RCB Podcast. The 2023 podcast will feature Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, Dinesh Karthik, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Siraj and other favorite RCB stars talking about the game-changing moments of their lives.

Equitas Small Finance Bank:

Equitas Small Finance Bank has announced a partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore aka RCB as their ‘Banking Partner’ for the 2023 season of T20 League.

The RCB team will don the Equitas Small Finance Bank logo on the lead trousers as part of the team’s jersey. This partnership campaign will be aimed to communicate that Equitas has been playing a progressive role in transforming the lives of individuals through their lending and social responsibilities of ‘Beyond Banking’.

Reliance Digital:

Reliance Digital has announced its partnership with Mumbai Indians (MI) as the lead trouser partner on the kits. Through this partnership, the company will offer fresh deals to customers all over India. Those who visit Reliance Digital’s stores or social media page will get the chance to win Mumbai Indians merchandise and Tickets to the matches are also to be won.
