Brand Activations for 73rd Independence Day

Here are some brands that are launching various campaigns on the 73rd Independence Day.

Nickelodeon

This Independence Day, Nickelodeon addressed the challenges India is facing despite of being in the 73rd year of Independence through their innovative campaign– ‘MeraWala India’. Taking a cue from what the ideal India should be from a kid’s point of view the channel brings alive the sentiment and a child’s version of an ideal independent country.

As a part of the initiative, the campaign witnessed children across schools conducting a REVERSE MARCH taking up issues like water conservation, safety, cleanliness, education for all & stereotyping despite of being in the 73rd year of Independence.The most popular Nickelodeon characters Shiva lead the reverse march across cities encouraging positive behavioural change amongst kids. With the help of its digital and social media reach, the campaignalso aims to encourage children urging them to express their version of ‘MeraWala India’ and take a pledge to extend this positive change towards the society not only amongst the kids but also amongst adults.

ITC Foods

ITC Foods’ luxury chocolate brand, Fabelle Chocolates is all set to commemorate India’s 73rd Independence Day with a limited edition chocolaterange.

In an attempt to pay tribute to India’s rich food culture and diverse tastes, Fabelle has identified hero ingredients from across the country and paired them with White, Milk, Dark and Ruby Chocolate. These flavours were found by dividing the country into six zones and created six chocolate bars each representing the flavours of a region as mentioned below:

Northern Himalayan Region – Dark Chocolate smoked with Tea and Pink Himalayan Salt

Thar Desert – Ruby Chocolate with Toasted Sesame, Salted Peanuts and Toasted Amaranth

GangeticPlains  -Milk Chocolate with Jaggery powder and crunchy Puffed Rice

Central Plains –  Dark Chocolate with Candied Orange Peel blended with Raisins

Deccan Plateau – White Chocolate with Coffee and Cardamom Powder effusion

Coastal Regions – Milk Chocolate with Desiccated Coconut powder and Candied Mango

Across top 6 cities, 600 such bars were handcrafted by Fabelle Master Chocolatiers in a 73 kg chocolate installation to commemorate the 73rd Independence Day. These chocolate bars will be unveiled on 15th of August and will be available for sale until 18th August 2019 in the Chocolate Boutique at ITC Gardenia.

The proceeds from the sale of these chocolates will be donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation of India a non-profit organization which works towards supporting deserving children to lead a richer life by fulfilling their wishes.

BOOK MY SHOW

Online ticketing company, BookMyShow’s charity initiative BookASmile expresses its gratitude to the Indian Army by pledging to contribute towards their welfare as also towards relief for victims of flood-hit regions in India.

BMS has released a heart-warming video, capturing similarities between the Indian Army and school-going children, both paying their respects to the Indian flag. The‘Power of One’ initiative underlines the belief that it takes just ₹1 to make a difference to someone’s life. Over the years, BookMyShow users have been voluntarily contributing anywhere from ₹1 to ₹5 to BookASmile, every time they purchase a ticket or book their entertainment through the platform.

For every view, like or share that the video garners across platforms, BookMyShow’s charity initiative will donate ₹1 each on behalf of the viewers, for both – the welfare of the men and women in uniforms and for relief efforts for victims of flood-hit regions in India. This initiative is a tribute to the bravehearts of the nation, who guard our frontiers, and are the reason that India sleeps peacefully.

SUGAR COSMETICS

SUGAR Cosmetics has launched their digital campaign, highlighting the true meaning of “freedom” which is the right to choose without fear of judgement, discrimination or ridicule based on skintone, fashion choices, lifestyle choices and sexuality. The film that aims at portraying the true meaning of the word – ‘AZAADI’ is conceptualized by SUGAR’s in-house creative agency and directed by Circus Elephants ~

SUGAR Cosmetics is promoting their #JustLetMeBe campaign through their YouTube, Instagram, Facebook & TikTok pages as well as radio channels such as Fever FM (Bangalore) & ISHQ FM (Mumbai)
