Ad impressions soar by 43pc on Digital medium during Jul-Sept’23 over Jan-Mar’23: TAM Report

Jul-Sept’23 observed growth of 30pc in ad impressions compared to Jul-Sept’22.

According to TAM AdEx – Quarterly Advertising Report on Digital for Jul-Sept’23, ad impressions witnessed growth of 43pc, and during Apr-Jun’23 a growth of 60pc, compared to Jan-Mar’23. Also, Jul-Sept’23 observed growth of 30pc in ad impressions compared to Jul-Sept’22.

In the Top 10 Leading Sectors on Digital advertising, Services and Computers retained their first and second positions with 51pc and 11pc share of ad impressions in Jul-Sept’23 over Apr-Jun’23. The top 10 sectors together added 86pc share of ad impressions. Retail was the only new entrant in the top 10 sectors.

Among the Top 10 Categories, Ecom-Media/Entertainment/Social Media ascended to first position with 13pc share of ad impressions during Jul-Sept’23 over Apr-Jun’23. Cars and Laptops/Notebooks were the new entrants. Five out of the Top 10 categories were from Services sector. The top 10 categories together added 55pc share of ad impressions in Jul-Sept’23.

In the Top 10 Leading Advertisers, Amazon Online India retained its first position during Q’1, Q’2 and Q’3 of Y 2023. During Jul-Sept’23, the top 10 advertisers collectively added 18pc share of ad impressions. Amazon and Snapchat were the two advertisers present in top 10 list of all the three quarters of Y 2023. Five new advertisers entered in the top 10 list during Jul-Sept’23.

Among the Top 10 Leading Brands, Amazon.In ascended to first position in Jul-Sept’23 compared to Apr-Jun’23. During Jul-Sept’23, five new brands entered the top 10 list. The top 10 brands contributed 14pc share of ad impressions in Jul-Sept’23.

190+ categories registered positive growth in the Top Growing Categories. Ecom-Media/Ent./Social Media witnessed highest increase in impressions with 27pc growth followed by Cars with 133pc growth during Jul-Sept’23 compared to Apr-Jun’23. In terms of growth percent, Retail Outlets-Departmental Stores category witnessed highest growth percent of 9.3 Times among the Top 10.

Twitter.com was the leading publisher with 44pc share of ad impressions, whereas Youtube.com secured second position with 12pc share during Jul-Sept’23. The top 10 web publishers together accounted for 50pc share of ad impressions in Jul-Sept’23.

Desktop Display was the Leading Digital Platform with 46pc share of impressions during Jul-Sept’23 followed by In APP Display with 16pc share. Programmatic was the most popular method for promoting ads on Digital platforms, accounting for 86pc of total ad impressions, followed by Ad Network method with 11pc share in Jul-Sept’23.
